Hallo,

das scheint doch in die richtige Richtung zu gehen:

Prior to Photokina 2008 and in a clear response to the recent announcement of Panasonic LX-3, Fujifilm has today announced FinePix Natura Digital F1.9. The camera is aimed at photo enthusiast and professionals who are looking for the ultimate compact rangefinder camera which has the image quality of a digital SLR. Consequently the FinePix Natural Digital F1.9 comes with comprehensive manual controls and a fast F1.9 35mm (35mm equivalent) Super EBC Fujinon lens. Images are captured on a size APS-C SuperCCD SR IX sensor sporting 10 million effective pixels. The FinePix Natura Digital F1.9 will be available in the United Stated from October at $599.
---Key features---

**Large APS-C size 10-megapixel Super CCD SR IX for Dramatically Higher Picture Quality**
The digital photography enthusiasts have finally gotten tired of pixel count war, and instead focus on the quality instead of quantity of pixels. In recognition of the turn of such trend, leading Internet review sites such as http://www.dpreview.com has introduced a new benchmark criteria called Pixel Density. Pixel Density is a calculation of the number of pixels on a sensor, divided by the imaging area of that sensor. Now Fujifilm has taken a giant leap forward to break its own record, with the FinePix Natura Digital F1.9 delivering a whopping 3MP/cm2. This figure is comparable to the leading entry-level digital SLR such as Nikon D40x and Canon Rebel XSi.
Dynamic Range, or the gradations of light that exist between bright and dark in any scene, can be easily detected by the human eye, but not by most cameras. Fujifilm first expanded dynamic range capture functionality on the professional imaging side with its FinePix S3 Pro digital camera. The technology, now perfected in the EISA Award-winning FinePix S5 Pro, has been brought to the consumer in the FinePix Natura Digital F1.9.
At the heart of the FinePix Natura Digital F1.9 is the ninth generation Super CCD SR sensor, where SR stands for Super Dynamic Range. Emulating the composition of negative film, the unique double-photodiode matrix of Super CCD SR IX consists of 10 million high-sensitivity S-pixels with large light receptor area and 10 million R-pixels for wide dynamic range with small light receptor area. The large 23.0mm x 15.5mm CCD with its high resolution canvas of 20 million effective pixels also achieves a dynamic range of 800%, approaching that of negative film.
Through a combination of advances in Fujifilm’s new Super CCD SR IX sensor and RP (Real Photo) Processor III, this wide dynamic range dramatically broadens tonal capability and guarantees exceptional rendition of photos with both bright highlights and dark shadows. FinePix Natura Digital F1.9 boasts top-of-the-range ultrahigh sensitivity of ISO12800.
** F1.9 Extraordinary Bright 35mm High Quality Super EBC Fujinon lens **

An extraordinary bright 35mm(35mm equivalent) fixed focal length lens at maximal aperture of F1.9 is incorporated in the FinePix Natura Digital. Combined with the huge dynamic range of the Super CCD SR IX sensor, users can easily capture low light photos without using flash. Compared that to most compact digital camera's slow F5.6 at long zoom end!
This 35mm F1.9 lens consists of 6 elements in 4 groups, and are Super EBC coated. This ensure the highest resolution and contrast in difficult lighting conditions, as proven by Fujinon's professional optical products for HDTV industry. The lens can focus down to 40cm for macro photography.
** Real Photo (RP) processor III to produce superb out of camera photos **

FUJIFILM's long experience in film photography and cutting-edge digital image processing technology have crystallized in the ultimate image quality technology - “Real Photo Technology” This fusion of our new Super CCD SR IX and RP (Real Photo) III Processor Pro realizes ultrahigh resolution with a superb signal to noise ratio, wider dynamic range and rich tonality for performance and image quality beyond even the imagination of professionals.
Film Simulation responds to the sophisticated color reproduction and tonality demands of the professional with a choice of five modes: “Professional portrait” (F1, F1a, F1b and F1c) Modes for expanded potential in portrait photography and “Fujichrome” (F2) Mode which replicates the color vibrancy of reversal filmi.
** 3-inch Large 3:2 LCD plus bright optical viewfinder **

Clear, easy-to-see LCD is upgraded both in size and resolution to be 3.0-inch with 460,000-dot high resolution to offer even more comfortable view for both monitoring when shooting and for playing back the results. The new 3:2 aspect of the LCD on FinePix Natura Digital F1.9 is familiar to those who are used to analog film cameras. The Intelligent LCD function detects the light condition and automatically boosts the LCD backlighting by max. 40% when shooting outdoors in bright sunshine, and adjusts the frame rate when shooting in low-lit situations in addition to using the pixel mixed readout method to secure clarity in such situations.
In addition, FinePix Natura Digital F1.9 sports a bright optical viewfinder for the classic rangefinder look and feel. The optical viewfinder has x0.7 magnification ratio, and automatically adjust frame lines for parallel compensation.
** Full suite of manual control for professional results **
While the FinePix Natura Digital F1.9 allows user to take perfect shots with outstanding ease in automatic and many specialized scene mode, the camera also allows full manual control for more advanced photography.
The FinePix Natura F1.9 supports Adobe DNG format for raw image, so users can capture the maximal amount of details and colors while have significant freedom in post-processing in their favorite software.
The FinePix Digital F1.9 is also Strobist friendly, with hotshoe mounted on top of the camera. An optional radio transmitter can be purchased for remotely control up to 8 external flashes.

Rick
